REVIEW QUOTE
“Vocally, Bill Geezy sounds very similar to Guy Clark, albeit without the Texas twang, his baritone perfectly complemented by Clint Hoover’s standout harmonica playing. Hoover’s harp often operates as a stand-in for the lap steel player most often associated with this kind of country music, and it’s a very nice change of pace.”

I’ve listened to is Bill Geezy and the Promise Breakers “Can’t Stop Thinkin’ About My Baby” and it’s a total surprise. Just when I think I’ve heard Clint’s range, he appears on a pure Country album. Clint does a magnificent job of playing the harmonica on this album and he sounds like Country’s what’s he’s been playing all his life. At times he sounds like Charlie McCoy and sometimes a little Mickey Raphael and Greg “Fingers” Taylor. Clints shows his usual good taste in playing to the music on every single song, not too much, not too little, just right. I definitely recommend this CD, especially if you enjoy Country music.
OVERVIEW
More great Americana roots rock and alt country from Geezy and company. This is the follow up to their debut CD, The Orchid Lounge. With more great story song-smithing from Bill, big vocal harmonies, seasoned playing by the band, it demonstrates that the first album wasn’t a fluke.
